Chhatra League leader wrongly receives aid money but gives back

Sunamganj Live: Delwar Hussain, a leader of Dowarabazar upazila Chhatra League under Sunamganj, has deposit back Tk 2,500 aid money to the government account so that the right would could get this assistance.
During the recent disbursement of the government’s cash support to some 50,000 needy families across the country ahead of the Eid-ul Fitr, Tk 2,500 was mistakenly cashed in Delwar’s Nagad account due to one wrong digit in mobile number.
Receiving the money at the night before the Eid festival, Delwar, who is joint convener of Dowarabazar Upazila Chhatra League unit and convener of Dowarabazar Degree College Chhatra League, contacted Dowarabazar Upazila Nirbachi Officer (UNO) immediately to give back the money to the right person.
He also mailed PM’s Principal Secretary Dr Ahmad Kaikaus informing the matter few days ago.Finally, the actual beneficiary, Lucky Akter, a poor inhabitant of Bishwambarpur upazila of the same district, is going to get the money soon as the administration responded to solve the matter quickly.
“We wanted the right person would get the money. So, I contacted the UNO immediately and also mailed the Principal Secretary Sir. Then a joint secretary of Finance Division helped Dewlar contacted me and I deposited the money to the government account on Tuesday,” Delwar told .
Both Dowarabazar UNO Sonia Sultana and Bishwambarpur UNO Samir Biswas confirmed the matter. Delwar, who received the money as the digit 7 was typed instead of 5 in mobile number of Lucky Akter, deposited the money, said.
