46 government colleges get new principals

Live Correspondent: Forty-six government colleges across the country will get new principals as the education ministry issued order in this connection.

The colleges where principal posts are lying vacant will get heads of institution soon.

Directorate of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education of the Education Ministry issued order in connection with postings on Wednesday. 

An order signed by deputy secretary Dr Srikant Kumar Chanda of the education ministry following the order of the President said that the officers of the BCS (General Education) cadre will remain in the post till further directive.  

The posting of teacher-officer is a normal procedure. A number of principal posts in different  colleges of the country were lying vacant due to coronavirus pandemic. Order has been issued to fill up those vacant posts.

The rest other vacant posts for principal will be filled up soon, Srikant Kumar Chanda said.
