MBBS admission test held

 

Live Correspondent: Admission test for MBBS course in the country’s government and private medical colleges for the academic year 2020-21 was held on Friday, following health guideline amid the covid-19 pandemic. 

Over 122,0000 candidates appeared for the medical admission test for the  academic year across the country. The test began at 10:00am and continued till 11:00am.

The number of examinees of the MBBS admission test has doubled this year. The number of examinees was 72,000 last year while the number this year is 1, 22,874.

The test was held at 55 venues of 19 centres. Of them, 47,000 candidates participated for the exam across 15 centres in Dhaka.

Health ministry sources said the number of seats in 47 government medical colleges of the country is 4,350 this year. Another 8,340 students will get admitted in 70 private medical colleges.

The health ministry sources said the admission test for BDS courses of dental colleges and units is also scheduled to be held on April 30.
