DPS STS School holds STEAM Carnival

 

Live Correspondent: DPS STS School Dhaka has recently organised a STEAM carnival at the school’s Senior Campus to promote awareness and inspire curiosity, said a press release on Sunday.

The carnival provided the students from grades 5-9 with an opportunity to exhibit their knowledge and innovation in the fields of science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.

It was the first-ever STEAM carnival organised by the senior section students of DPS STS, where nearly 2000 spectators witnessed thought-provoking STEAM projects curated by innovative young minds. Besides, to entertain the visitors, the students also arranged some fun games and refreshments.

There were gaming facilities, which are available at Toggi Fun World - South Asia’s largest VR theme park, during the carnival.

The proceeds earned from the entertainment and refreshments were donated to a student alumnus suffering from a critical medical condition.

DPS STS School Dhaka principl Shivananda CS said, ‘STEAM Carnival is a great opportunity to not only promote STEAM education, but also encourage social responsibility, teamwork, and a sense of community. Although it is our first-ever Steam carnival, I’m thrilled to see the exciting projects by our young scientists.’

In recent years, DPS STS School has been an active propagator of promoting STEAM education in the school. It is an educational approach to learning that utilizes Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics as access points to boost students’ learning outcomes and enhance their confidence levels in communication.
