Viqarunnisa principal Kamrun Nahar made OSD

 

Live Correspondent: Viqarunnisa Noon School and College principal Kamrun Nahar were relieved of her post and attached to the Secondary and Higher Education Division as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) on Tuesday. The Ministry of Education made stated it through a press release on Tuesday.

Earlier, the Prime Minister's Office directed to investigate the allegations of misuse of administrative power and widespread financial irregularities against Kamrun Nahar. At the same time, the allegation of corruption of Dr. Farhana Khanam, a teachers' representative of the institution, was also ordered.

The PMO gave the directive to the Secretary of the Secondary and Higher Education Division. The directive was given through a letter signed by Mohammad Rafiqul Ala, director-7 of the PMO, on March 27 last. The Secretary was also asked to submit an inquiry report by April 28 next.

Kamrun Nahar, an official of the BCS (General Education), was appointed as Viqarunnisa Noon School and College principal on December 29, 2020. Earlier, she served as principal of Duaripara Government College at Rupnagar in Dhaka.

It may be mentioned that on December 28, 2020, the former principal of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College, Fauzia Rezwan was attached to the Secondary and Higher Education Division as OSD. She was made OSD in face of various allegations of irregularities against her at that time.
