Sports Live: Bangladeshi descent Nayb Tahmid Islam and Rahbar Wahid Khan practiced for the first time with Bangladesh national football team at Sports City Field in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan on Monday.

Both the players, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan on the same day, completed a two-shift training session with the rest of the team members.

“The training was good today. It was my first time on the national team and it was really good. I aim to enter into the playing eleven for the first match,” said Tahmid in a video message.

Rahbar also echoed the same sentiment of Tahmid. “All players were very welcoming. The practice was great. We trained for about three hours. I'm just looking forward to the next training session. Hopefully, I can make my spot in the starting eleven,” said Rahbar.

The men in red and green will take on Palestine in their opening match of the Three Nations Cup on September 5 before they face hosts Kyrgyzstan in their last match on September 7.

Bangladesh is also scheduled to play a friendly match with Kyrgyzstan U-23s on September 9 during the tour.
