2nd Div Football: Saif SC Youth team emerge champions

 

Sports Live: Saif Sporting Club Youth team emerged champions in the Bashundhara Group Metropolis 2nd Division Football League beating Gouripur Sporting Club by a 2-0 goal at Kamalapur Stadium here on Tuesday.

Naimur Hasan Rakib put Saif SC ahead in the 23rd minute (1-0) while Jubair Ahmed confirmed the winner's victory by scoring one more goal in the 53rd minute (2-0)

Dhaka Junior Sporting Club of Siddique Bazar finished runners-up in the 18-team league, UNB reports.

In the day's other match, Jabid Ahsan Sokel KC outplayed Little Friends Club by 3-0 goal.

Sujon Sheikh, Mehedi Hasan, and Saifullah Sarder scored one each for the winners.

Co-Chairman of the Dhaka Metropolis Football League Committee and BFF EC member M Elias Hossain was the chief guest in the day's prize distribution ceremony and later he handed over prizes.

Saifullah Sarder of the Jabid Ahsan Sohel KC was named the highest scorer of the league scoring 14 goals.
