Twitter erupts as Bangladesh seals maiden T20

Live Correspondent: As Mushfiqur Rahim’s perfectly paced, unbeaten 60 guided Bangladesh to a seven-wicket win over India, their first against the Men in Blue in nine attempts, twitter erupted in praising the Tigers.

Famed cricketers took their twitter handle to heap shower of praise on Bangladesh and Mushfiqur Rahim.

Former West Indies great Ian Bishop wrote, referring Bangladesh’s one- run defeat to India in Bangalore during World T20 in 2016: “Many narratives in that match-wining knock from Mushfiqur Rahim. Amongst other things, it
will help him to somewhat exorcise the ghost of 2016.”

BCCI President and former India skipper Sourav Ganguly said: “Thank you to both the teams to play this game… well done Bangladesh.”

Shakib Al Hasan posted in facebook: “What an amazing team performance under tremendous pressure! Congrats boys! You made the entire nation proud.”

Indian player Manoj Tiwary wrote: “Shocking result for us tonight against Bangladesh team. It does happen in the game but there are so many areas to look into and improve on. Today’s game was an eye opener for the people who all think experiences can be bought in the market.”

Former India fast bowler Irfan Pathan praised Bangladesh also and wrote: “Top innings from Mushfiqur Rahim but I am looking forward to India’s comeback in next two matches.”
