Meeting on Nat'l Municipal Digital Service Project held

IT Live: A meeting on 'National Municipal Digital Service Project (NMDSP)' was held at the meeting room of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Division here today. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Zunaid Ahmed Palak was present as the chief guest on the occasion.

Managing Director of Bangladesh Hi-Tech Park Authority Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, Country Director of Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in Bangladesh Young-Ah Doh, members of the Korean expert team involved in the project, representatives of the local government division and senior officials of the ICT Division were present there, among others.

During the meeting, the issue regarding the financial and technical support of the Government of South Korea to implement digital services in 328 municipalities across Bangladesh was discussed. The authorities concerned also decided to implement a total of 7 services in the existing 328 municipalities of the country, including two services in Holding Tax Assessment and Public Complaint.

Palak requested KOICA to include five more new services under the project on priority basis while KOICA assured of providing financial support as a grant for the implementation of the project.
