"Hi-tech parks play vital role in building skilled manpower"

IT live: State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid today said hi-tech parks have been playing an important role in building technology-friendly skilled manpower in the country.

"No alternation to the skilled manpower for gaining success of fourth industrial revolution," he said this while speaking as the chief guest of foundation stone laying ceremony of the Hi-Tech Park at Jhilmil project under Keraniganj upazila.

Nasrul said, "We can face future challenges quickly, if we work together and create new entrepreneurs and explore in the ICT sector." He said Keraniganj is a very traditional upazila town. Light engineering and industry sector of Keraniganj is a glory of Bangladesh as locally made handicrafts are famous around the country.

"There are small industries and factories were brought Keraniganj as a different identity in Bangladesh. Keraniganj will be one of the driving forces in fulfillment of the digital Bangladesh dream," Nasrul said that the Prime Minister's Information and Communication Technology Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed Joy has been playing a key role to materialize the digital Bangladesh.

"Bangladesh has been transformed into digital under his direct supervision and we are dreaming of tackling the fourth industrial revolution," the state minister said.

Addressing as the special guest State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak mentioned that every person in the country is enjoying the benefits of digital Bangladesh. "With honesty and sincerity and the architect of modern Bangladesh, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has successfully materialized the country a Digital Bangladesh," he said.

Palak said that the Prime Minister, worthy daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, brought every house under access to electricity and 13 crore people under Internet facility. He said that the youths will create jobs sector by using their merits and talent instead of doing jobs.

IT/Hi-Tech Park, Sheikh Kamal IT Training & Incubation Centers, Schools of the Future, Digital Edutainment Centers are the brain child prime Minister's ICT advisor Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed, Palak said. He added that the government has been implementing different programmes across the country to make youths entrepreneurs and self-reliant.

Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Vikram K Doraiswami and Project Director AKAM Fazlul Haque also spoke. Later, the Indian high commissioner along with other guests visited Lal Masjid "Doleshwar Hanafia Jame Mosque", which was received an international award for its unique architectural structure and design.
