All coaching centres to remain shut for 28 days

Live Correspondent: Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni has said all coaching centers across the country will remain closed from April 26 to May 23 to prevent question paper leaks during the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations.

She said this at a press briefing organized on the occasion of SSC and equivalent examination-23 at the International Mother Language Institute in the capital on Tuesday noon.

The minister said the examinations will be held on a short syllabus with full marks and the number of candidates is 20,72,163 this year.

Read more: SSC, equivalent exams start on April 30 She said although the SSC examinations are held in the first week of February every year, it was not possible to hold the exams on time like last year due to Covid-19.

Deputy Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel, Technical and Madarasa Education Division Senior Secretary Md Kamal Hossain, and Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Division Secretary Soleman Khan were, among others, present during this time.

It is mentionable that, the SSC and equivalent examinations will begin in the country on April 30.
