2-day reunion of Psychology dept begins in RU

RU Live: A two-day reunion celebration of the Department of Psychology, one of the oldest departments in Rajshahi University (RU) and the country as well, began at the RU campus today amidst joy and enthusiasm. Established in 1956, the department is celebrating the festival for its old and current students for the first time in its long history.

The two-day festival included colourful rally, batch-wise reminiscence, interaction, cultural functions and formation of Rajshahi University Psychology Alumni Association. More than 600 students are taking part in the celebration.

RU Vice-chancellor Prof Abdus Sobhan attended and addressed the inaugural function held at Kazi Nazrul Islam Auditorium as chief guest with Chairman of the department Prof Enamul Haque in the chair. Pro-vice-chancellors Prof Ananda Kumar Saha and Prof Chowdhury Jakaria and Proctor Prof Lutfor Rahman also spoke.

In the meeting, Prof Muhammad Raoshan Ali and Valiant Freedom Fighter Muhammad Khalequzzaman were given reception. Before the opening ceremony, a colourful rally was brought out from the department premises and ended at the opening ceremony venue after parading some of the campus roads.
