Postponed DU Senate meeting to resume on Thursday

DU Live: The postponed Annual Senate Session of Dhaka University will be resumed on July 23 at the Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban on the campus.

Senate Chairman and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman will preside over the session, said a release here today.

Annual budget for 2020-21 fiscal year and revised budget of 2019-20 FY will be placed in the meeting, added the release.

The session of the Senate will be held for a short time as possible following hygiene and maintaining social distancing.

The meeting, commenced on June 14, was postponded till July 23 as the budget for the 2020-21 fiscal year was not placed on that day.

According to Section 21 of Dhaka University Order, 1973, University Vice-Chancellor Md. Akhtaruzzaman convened this annual session of the Senate.
