KOICA delegation meets DU VC

DU Live: A 14-member delegation led by Doh Young-Ah, Country Director of Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman today, November 08, 2021 at the latter’s office of the university.

Vice-Chairman of Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship Center (ICE) of DU Prof. Dr. Khondoker Bazlul Hoque, Executive Director of ICE Md. Rashedur Rahman and some other Faculty Members were present on this occasion.

During the meeting they discussed matters of mutual interest especially regarding inauguration of a pilot project titled “Capacity Building of Universities in Bangladesh to Promote Youth Entrepreneurship” on December 04, 2021 at DU as a part of Dhaka University centenary festival. It may be mentioned that this project will be implemented with the financial assistance from KOICA to develop education and research as well as innovative skills at Dhaka University.

DU VC Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman thanked the KOICA authorities for providing support and cooperation to this Pilot Project. This project will play an effective role for capacity building of young generation on innovation and entrepreneurship, he pointed out. Academic and research activities as well as networking and relationship will be further strengthened among the University of Dhaka and universities in Korea through this project, he hoped.
