Conference on 'Bangladesh Golden Jubilee and Economy' at JU on Sunday

JU Live: A two-day conference titled '50 years of Bangladesh: Aspirations, Achievements and Obstacles' will be held at Jahangirnagar University on December 19 and 20. Economics department of Jahangirnagar University is going to organise the conference marking the golden jubilee of the independence of the country.

Eminent economist and JU economics department professor Anu Muhammad disclosed the event at a press meet held at the teacher's lounge of Social Science faculty of the Jahangirnagar University this afternoon. JU vice-chancellor Professor Farzana Islam will inaugurate the conference at the university's Zahir Rayhan auditorium on Sunday morning while former JU Vice Chancellor Prof Abdul Bayes, Chairman of the Center for Policy Dialogue (CPD) Prof Rehman Sobhan will attend the inaugural session.

The two-day conference will feature the country's best academics, economists as well as researchers from the United States and Australia.
