Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has taken women's leadership far.

JU Vice-Chancellor Farzana Islam is the first woman Vice-Chancellor of the country. Women are fulfilling their responsibilities successfully in various administrative positions of this university. Such a statement of the SUST VC regarding the female students at our university cannot be accepted in any way. We demand that he will withdraw his indecent remarks and apologize.

Earlier, SUST VC Farid Uddin Ahmed was heard making derogatory comments on JU students in a recently leaked audio clip saying, "No one wants to marry JU female students easily".

Since the audio went viral, students of Jahangirnagar University have been protesting against SUST Farid Uddin's derogatory remarks and demanding his punishment.
