Jahangirnagar University VC panel election today

JU Live: The election to nominate a three-member panel for appointing the next vice-chancellor (VC) from the group will be held at Jahangirnagar University (JU) today.
The voting will begin at 4 pm at a special Senate session at Senate hall following section 11(1) of JU Act-1973. JU Vice-Chancellor Prof Nurul Alam will chair the session while JU Registrar Rahima Kaneez will conduct the polls as election commissioner.
Earlier, on July 27, JU authorities decided to hold the panel election.
The VC panel election was last held on February 20, 2014. Professor Farzana Islam, Professor Abul Hasan, and Professor Amir Hossain were elected at the election.
