Speaking on the occasion, Serniabat Sadiq Abdullah said “Bangabandhu means Bangladesh.  Those who killed Bangabandhu on August 15 actually intended to kill Bangladesh.  Bangabandhu is not just a person, rather he is a spirit.  They killed Bangabandhu that day but could not erase his spirit.  As long as Bangladesh exists, Bangabandhu be alive in the hearts of every Bengali.”

The young generation is the bearer of Bangabandhu's spirit, he said adding that by holding this spirit, they will someday build the golden Bengal as envisaged by nation’s founding father.
