DU Live: The 53rd convocation of Dhaka University (DU) will be held on November 19. Nobel laureate French economist Prof Dr. Jean Tirole will be present as the convocation speaker.
The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the university Syndicate held virtually on Wednesday with the university Vice-chancellor Prof Dr. Md Akhtaruzzaman in the chair, confirmed a DU press release.
The decision was taken in light of the recommendations of a special meeting of the Academic Council held last Tuesday.
DU Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Administration) Prof Muhammad Samad, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Prof Dr. ASM Maksud Kamal, and the Syndicate members were connected to the virtual meeting.
The 52nd convocation of Dhaka University was held on December 9, 2019.
