JU Mathematical and Physical Sciences faculty gets new dean

JU Live: Professor Dr. Farid Ahmed of Jahangirnagar University's Physics department has been appointed as the acting dean of the Mathematical and Physical Sciences faculty of the university.
An office order signed by JU registrar (contractual basis) RahimaKaniz confirmed the appointment on Tuesday.
According to section 8 (2) of Jahangirnagar University Act 1973, Prof Dr. Farid Ahmed has been appointed as acting dean of the Mathematical and Physical Sciences faculty till further order, the notice reads.
Prof Farid Ahmed is now serving as the Controller of Examinations at Jahangirnagar University. He is the advisor of the Jahangirnagar University Journalists Association (JUJA).
