Korean govt introduced a variety of scholarships for higher studies of Bangladeshi students

DU Live: Korean Ambassador to Bangladesh Ambassador Lee Jang-Keun and the Public Diplomacy Team of the Korean Embassy attended the seminar titled “Visualizing Korea through the Lens of Higher Education and Culture.”

It was hosted by Korean Universities Alumni Association Bangladesh (KUAAB) at the Institute of Modern Language (IML), the University of Dhaka on Sunday (Oct 16).

The Vice-Chancellor University of Dhaka, the Dean of the International Relations Division, and the Director of IML attended as chief/special guests.
Speaking on the occasion, the speakers urged around 150 students who participated to get the chance of benefiting from studying in Korea.

This seminar was designed to explore the potential of higher education opportunities and encourage students to pursue their academic aspirations as well as further careers in Korea by KUAAB in close cooperation with Korean Embassy.

Ambassador Lee delivered the congratulatory message with the hope that the inauguration of KUAAB will play a pivotal role in strengthening bilateral relations between Korea and Bangladesh and in making next year a milestone by preparing for significant occasions for closer, deeper, and stronger friendships by celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of two countries’ diplomatic ties.

Youngmin Seo, Head of the Public Diplomacy Team of the Embassy, participated as a discussant and introduced a variety of Korean scholarships such as GKS, AKS, etc. by emphasizing the benefits and satisfactions that students would enjoy in Korea.
