Prof Abul Kashem made KAU new VC

Live Correspondent: Dr. Abul Kashem Chowdhury, Professor of the Department of Genetics and Plant Breeding of Patuakhali Science and Technology University, has been appointed as the vice-chancellor (VC) of Khulna Agriculture University (KAU).
President M Abdul Hamid, as the chancellor of the university, appointed him to the post for the next four-year term, a press release signed by the registrar of the university Dr. Khondokar Mazharul Anwar, said on Wednesday.
In 1989, Dr. Kashem joined Patuakhali Science and Technology University as a lecturer and later upgraded to Professor.
Over 53 research articles of Dr. Kashem have been published in different journals at home and abroad, said the press release.
