Training on teaching held at Rajshahi University

Live Correspondent: A four-day training titled 'Training on Effective Teaching Learning & Assessment' organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Rajshahi University (RU) concluded on Thursday.

At the closing ceremony, the university vice-chancellor Professor Golam Sabbir Sattar was the chief guest, and the pro-vice-chancellor Professor Md. Sultan-ul-Islam was the special guest presided over by the IQAC director Professor Dulal Chandra Roy.

IQAC  additional director Professor Md. Mashihur Rahman provided the welcome speech. Additional director Professor Md. Abdur Rashid Sarkar conducted the program.

In the training, Educational Domains & Teaching Learning, Organizing Effective Teaching-Learning: SCTL & OBE, Innovative Teaching-Learning Methods: Inquiry-based, PBL, Team-based & Case method, Assessment of Student Performance and Alignment of Teaching-Learning & Assessment with CLOs were discussed.

183 teachers from 59 departments and 6 institutes of the university participated in this training. Professor SM Kabir, a member of the Bangladesh Accreditation Council, was the resource person.

Earlier, the vice-chancellor inaugurated the program held in four phases at the IQAC conference room of Syed Ismail Hossain Siraji Academic Building on November 14.

In the opening ceremony of the second and third day of the training, the chief guest was the director of the Faculty of Social Sciences. Ilias Hossain and pro-vice-chancellor Professor Humayun Kabir. /End
