IU celebrates Independence Day

 

IU Live: Islamic University (IU) observed 'Independence Day' with widespread enthusiasm at the campus in kushtia on Sunday. IU VC Prof Dr Sheikh Abdus Salam began the day by hoisting the national flag and releasing balloons in front of the university administration at about 10:30 am.

To mark the day, IU authority brought out a colorful procession from the administration building, which ended at the Memorial. Later, the IU administrative body and political, professional, social, and cultural organisations of the university placed wreaths to pay homage to the martyrs to commemorate the Day.

Milad and Doa Mahfil were also held seeking salvation of the departed souls of liberation heroes.
