Sports Live: Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal will leave Dhaka to take part in the Pakistan Super League (PSL)’s play-off. Tamim was tested negative for corona which paved his way to take part in the competition which Mahmudullah Riyad will miss due to coronavirus.

Mahmudullah and Tamim Iqbal were picked as replacements for the last leg of the competition, scheduled from November 14 to November 17.

Lahore Qalanders had picked Tamim to replace Chris Lynn while Multan Sultans roped in Mahmudullah in place of Moeen Ali.

The board had given NOCs to Tamim and Mahmudullah to take part in the PSL since the tournament’s schedule doesn't clash with the upcoming Bangabandhu T20 tournament.

On November 14, table-toppers Multan Sultan will take on Karachi Kings in the first qualifier, followed by the eliminator clash between Lahore Qalandar and Peshawar Zalmi.

The second eliminator will be held on November 15 and the final on November 17.
