Saif ruled out from pink ball Test

Sports Live: Bangladesh uncapped opener Saif Hassan was ruled out from the side’s maiden day-night Test against India, starting from Friday after sustaining a finger injury.

Saif was heavily favourite to make his International debut in the second and final Test, played in pink ball following Imrul Kayes’s below par show in the first Test in Indore in which Bangladesh tasted a humiliating innings and 130-run defeat.

The youngster who has been in tremendous form in aged level cricket before making the cut in the national team sustained the injury during the Indore Test when he was fielding as 12th man.

When Saif Hasan was ruled out from the Test, off-spinner Nayeem Hasan who is also in consideration to play second Test was struck by a ball on his head during the practice session in Kolkata on Wednesday.
