"The government is committed to ensuring digital security alongside  expanding digitization. Social media platform is now a big challenge to  create socio-political instability, including communal riots. The present  government is working to overcome that crisis," he said.

Bangladesh has become a global leader in the development of digital technology, he said, adding that this achievement is the result of the successful implementation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Digital Bangladesh programme.

With an expatriate entrepreneur from America named Mostafizur Rahman in the chair, the programme was addressed, among others, by Chairman of Bangladesh Communication Satellite. Company Limited (BCSCL) Dr Shahjahan Mahmood and  Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Director General (DG)Brig Gen Md Nasim Parvez as special guests.
