Former IGP Hadis Uddin dies of Covid-19

Live Correspondent: Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Bangladesh Police Mohammad Hadis Uddin has died of Covid-19.

He died at about 12:30 pm on Saturday at the intensive care unit (ICU) while underwent treatment at Rajarbagh Central Police Hospital in the capital.

He left behind his wife, two sons, a host of relatives, and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Mohammad Hadis Uddin was born in a respectable Muslim family at village Mendipur under Khaliajuri Upazila in Netrokona district in 1949.

An officer belonging to the 1973 batch, Mohammad Hadis Uddin served as the IGP from April 7, 2005, to May 7, 2005. His body will be buried at Banani Graveyard.

IGP Dr. Benazir Ahmed has expressed profound shock at the death of former IGP Mohammad Hadis Uddin. He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the bereaved family members.
