How much safe is Dhaka University campus?

Khan Alamin: Dhaka University campus. Birth place of every movement. Recently a female student of the university fell victim of repression at Kurmitola area in the capital.
Then movement spread from the campus with an impetuous motion. Then how much safe is the campus? Nothing but panic is found after talking to the female students. The university administration is saying that steps will be taken to turn the campus safe.

Raju Sculpture, the symbol of anti-terrorism activities. Any movement or struggle against the oppression ignites from the premises.

But at the moment heads of every structure are covered with black cloths. But why?Everybody knows the reason. Following the incident of recent female student repression, the flame of movement spread.

The activists of the movement covered the heads of the structures with black cloths as a symbol of protest. The university which protests all the unjust, but for the students especially for the female students how much safe is the university campus?

The eastern side of the road from Shahbag to Doel Chattar area is unsafe for the long period. The street lights have gone due to the construction work of Metrorail.

The number of vagabond and drug addicts has gone up. As a whole the Kurmitola incident has created panic in the mind of female students of the campus.

This situation is prevailing for the long period. It has come in front after the Kurmitola incident. But the university authority yet to take any mentionable initiative.

In this regard DU Vice Chancellor Professor Akhtaruzzaman said, it is beyond ability as the campus is open. But different steps will be taken to turn the university campus safe.

The VC also said about strengthening role of police, intelligence agencies and city corporation as well as university administration
