UGC Chairman pays tribute to Bangabandhu

Live Correspondent: University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh authorities led by its newly appointed Chairman Professor Dr. KaziShahidullah paid rich tribute to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

The UGC Chairman along with its five full-time Members paid tribute by placing wreaths at his grave at Tungipara in Gopalganj on 29 June. The UGC Members are- Professor Dr. Md. Akhtar Hossain, Professor Dr. M. Shah Nowaz Ali, Professor Dr. DilAfroza Begum, Professor Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain and Professor Dr. MuhammedAlamgir

They also took part in special prayer seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Bangabandhu and the martyrs of August 15, 1975 carnage.

Professor Dr. Shahidullah joined as 13th Chairman of UGC on 26 May while Professor Dr. DilAfroza Begum, Professor Dr. Md. Sazzad Hossain and Professor Dr. MuhammedAlamgir joined as full-time Members in June.
