Live Corrospondent: The public transport services will remain closed for an indefinite period from Friday morning in protest against fuel price hike. Though no formal announcement was made to this end but it was decided to keep the transport services shut indefinitely, four leaders of Bangladesh Road Transport Owners Association told Jago News on Thursday.

The leaders of different organizations of transport sector held meeting today following the government raised the prices of diesel and kerosene by Tk 15 per litre.

Asked about this, BRTOA Secretary General Khandaker Enayet Ullah told Jago News that the owners said they won't operate vehicles in protest against fuel price hike but did not make formal announcement of strike.
