Soybean oil price raised by Tk 7 a litre

 

Live Correspondent: Bottled soybean oil prices have been raised by Tk 7 per litre. Now, the price of one litre of bottled soyabean oil has stood at Tk 205.

It was stated in a notification signed by Khondker Nurul Huque, deputy secretary of the Ministry of Commerce, on Thursday (June 9).

The notification said following the price hike on Thursday, the maximum retail price (MRP) of a litre of unpacked soyabean oil will be Tk 185, while the one litre of bottled soyabean oil will be sold at Tk 205.

Besides, 5 litres of bottled soyabean oil will be sold at a maximum Tk 997, while one litre of unpacked palm oil will be sold at Tk 158.

If the soybean and palm oils are sold beyond these prices, action will be taken as the Consumer Right Protection Act.
