BNP does photo sessions with flood victims

Live Correspondent: Criticising BNP’s relief distribution activities among flood-hit people, Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has said their relief activities are one kinds of ‘relief luxury’.
“BNP leaders staged a drama in the name of distributing relief in Feni’s Sonagazi. They had returned from Feni and held a press conference, later. If they had political will and courage, they would have tried to stand by the people,” said Obaidul Quader in a statement on Sunday.
He said they are more focused on press briefing rather than the helping the people.
The AL general secretary said the BNP leaders are holding photo sessions with flood victims and their inadequate help is nothing but a cruel joke with the people’s suffering.
As long as the BNP does not give up ill politics and concentrates on the welfare of the people, the people will reject all their ill tactics with hatred, said Obaidul Quader.
He said the present government, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and the leaders and workers of the Awami League are by the side of the people.
“Those who see politics as a tool of changing their luck and who were born to linger the dictatorship to seize power, practice ill-politics over public suffering,” said the AL general secretary.
Quader said it is very natural that the imaginary allegations of those whose political power is in a declining trend will increase day by day.
Responding to the allegations of BNP leaders that the AL is a terrorism-based political party, Obaidul Quader said people of the country know better which party is the patron of terrorism and whose political philosophy is dependent on terrorism.
