Education boards now to approve pvt schools, colleges

 

Live Correspondent: The education ministry on Sunday said that the boards of intermediate and secondary education were now given the responsibility to give final approval for the establishment, study and academic recognition to the junior secondary, secondary and higher secondary private educational institutions.

Earlier, the education ministry used to give these approvals. The boards will give these approvals in the respective board meetings, according to the Establishment, Study and Academic Recognition to the Private Educational Institutions Policy 2022.

A press release issued by the education ministry on Sunday said that the policy was made effective on the day after signing by the ministry secretary Md Abu Bakr Siddique .

The release also said that the policy would be published on the ministry website soon.

In case of failure to meet the policy requirements in any application seeking approval, the head of the respective educational institution would have to be informed about the deficiencies, the release added.
