DLA Piper Global Scholarship

 

Live Correspondent: Two students from Bangladesh have achieved the very prestigious DLA Piper Global Scholarship this year. Tasnim is a 4th-year law student at Dhaka University, and Mehedi Hasan Turin is a 3rd-year law student at North South University, have achieved this honor this year along with 23 more students all over the world. 

Kalyan Chakroborty, a fellow and coordinator (Bangladesh) of the DLA Piper global
scholarship, has confirmed this news. He is also one of the very first DLA scholars from Bangladesh. 

DLA Piper is one of the top law firms in the world, with lawyers located in more than 40 countries throughout America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.

In association with University of Oxford, the scholarship programme supports undergraduate law students throughout the last two years of their education.

The scholarship shall bear all expenses for these two students, including tuition, travel, accommodation, medical, and other costs. They will also be flown across the world to attend fellowship programmes and a leadership development course at the University of Oxford.

Kalyan Chakroborty said, “it is a proud moment for Bangladesh because these rising stars are going to continue the legacy and representing us on the international platform”.
