Live Correspondent: Examinations of Dhaka University affiliated seven colleges will continue but no hall will be opened, said an Education Ministry release on Wednesday. The decision came from a meeting among education minister Dipu Moni and principals of the seven colleges.

Earlier in the morning, agitating students of the colleges returned to Nilkhet crossing to block it protesting at the decision of postponing all types of scheduled examinations.

They came to the street on Tuesday night after the Dhaka University authorities decided in a meeting with the principals of the colleges to postpone the exams.

The agitating students vowed to continue their protests until the authorities changed their decision. ‘This is absolutely an illogical decision as it goes against the interest of the students,’ said Shohag Talukder, a final year student of Dhaka College.

‘The authorities must take the examinations immediately as per the previous routine,’ he added. More than three hundred students of seven colleges took part in the protest and they continued the blockade till filling the report.

Meanwhile, the National University authorities also postponed all of their scheduled exams on Tuesday.

The postponement came after the government announced to reopen the public university on May 24 and the dormitories on May 17.
