Effective teaching-learning thru virtual platform stressed

Live Correspondent: Speakers at a webinar titled ‘Challenges and Opportunities during COVID-19 Pandemic: English Medium School’s Perspective’ recently focused on the different adaptation measures of the institutions, teachers and highlighted the government’s efforts of launching remote teaching-learning platforms to connect the students since the pandemic began.

The English medium schools across the country have taken intensive measures to connect the students to reduce the academic losses of the learners although it became a great challenge to reach the cent percent students through remote learning platforms due to resource constraints.

The speakers emphasized on virtual teaching-learning approach to run the academic activities of the learners amid the pandemic situation.

They said teachers almost become succeeded to set a new trend of virtual teaching-learning in the country during the pandemic.  Digital skills for remote schooling, e-commerce, and working from home connecting virtually added a new dimension to our life.

They made some recommendations and urged the government to arrange massive training programs on remote teaching-learning and using different tools for the teachers- students.

Principal of BAF Shaheen English Medium College, Group Captain Md Rafiul Huq, BPP, afwc, psc graced the event  as chief  while  President GEIST International Foundation and Coordinator, SEED Research Team, Biplob Kumar Dev  chaired the session

Representatives of leading English Medium Schools in Bangladesh joined the session to shed light on the topic.

Academic coordinator BAF Shaheen English Medium College and Executive Director, GEIST International Foundation, Lizoon Nahar moderated the session.
