Police arrests Shimu's husband Noble, his friend

Live Correspondent: Police today arrested Shakhawat Ali Noble, husband of actress Raima Islam Shimu, and his friend Farhad after their confessional statement on her killing.

"Police detained Noble and later he confessed to his involvement in the murder of his wife," Dhaka district police super (SP) Maruf Hossain Sardar made the announcement in a press conference at the office of Dhaka police super today.

Addressing a press briefing at his office, he said that during primary interrogation, Noble admitted that he killed his wife and Farhad also assisted him. Police, earlier, detained two persons, including victim's husband and Farhad in connection with the murder.

The actress, who went missing a few days ago, was found inside a sack near Hazratpur Bridge in Keraniganj, on the outskirts of the capital, on Monday. After being informed by locals, a team of Keraniganj Model Police Station recovered the body around 10am.
