Dr Sabrina's intimate relationship with Milon made Arif angry

Live Correspondent: Dr Sabrina Arif Chowdhury had turned the department of Cardiac Surgery at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases into a den of irregularities for a long time with the help of unit chief Dr Kamrul Hasan Milon. Milon has been illegally occupying the room and post of the head of the cardiac surgery department of the hospital for the past one year.

Dr MIlon is in charge of a unit of the department of Cardiac Surgery at the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases and Sabrina worked as a registrar physician under him. There are allegations that Sabrina indulged in widespread irregularities with the direct assistance of Milon. However, there is anger inside everyone and there are also many complaints.
There is an allegation that Sabrina used to take salary without working day after day. A staff of the hospital said "I didn’t saw her working even for a day.” Sabrina's husband Arif Chowdhury was also angry at the closeness between Sabrina and Milon.

JKG chief Arif also got involved in a brawl with Milon inside the hospital over the matter. Later, a GD was filed with local police in this connection.Meanwhile, JKG Health Care’s detained chairman Dr Sabrina has been placed on a three-day remand in a case filed over deceiving people by giving false coronavirus test reports. A Dhaka court passed the order on Monday after she was produced Khaled before it with a four-day remand prayer. The court also denied her bail petition.

Earlier on Sunday, Sabrina was expelled from the National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases by the Health Ministry.Sabrina was arrested over coronavirus test report scam on Sunday afternoon. She was called to the Tejgaon DC office of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) of the police for questioning on Sunday. After the primary grilling, Sabrina was arrested.

Sabrina went to the Tejgaon Division office of the DMP around 1 pm. Later police questioned her for around three hours about the JKG’s deceptive activities, but she could not give proper answers. Earlier on June 24, police arrested her husband and JKG Health Care CEO Ariful Chaudhury and four others from the capital for allegedly providing fake coronavirus test reports without carrying out any test. A case was also filed against them in this regard.

Sabrina placed on three-day remand:

JKG Health Care’s detained chairman Dr Sabrina has been placed on a three-day remand in a case filed over deceiving people by giving false coronavirus test reports. A Dhaka court passed the order on Monday after she was produced Khaled before it with a four-day remand prayer.

According to a statement of the ministry, police arrested Sabrina for allegedly engaging in fake corona test reports and embezzling huge money.

Being a government official, holding the post of chairman of a non-government organization without the permission of the government and embezzling money is a punishable offense. It said Sabrina was suspended in accordance with Rule 12 (1) of the Civil Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 2018.
