Live Correspondent : The high-profile committee formed by the government did not find any fault of joint secretary for the ferry delay, which led to the death of a critically injured schoolboy. The committee has submitted its probe report over the death of schoolboy Titas Ghosh who was in an ambulance on a ferry at Kanthalbari, Madaripur.

The investigation committee did not find any fault of Joint Secretary Abdus Sabur. However, it held three of Ferry ghat officials and employees responsible for leaving the ferry late.

The three men who were responsible in the report are Ferry Ghat Manager Salam Hossain, its Marginal Assistant Khokon Miah, and Upper Division Assistant and Group Chief Firoz Alam.

Titash Ghosh, a class-VI student of Kalia Pilot Secondary School in Narail, was injured in a motorbike accident in Narail on July 24. Following the day, he was on way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital as per advice of doctors of a Khulna hospital.

But the ambulance carrying him got stuck near “Ferry Cumilla” at Kathalbari terminal in Madaripur due to delay of an additional secretary. After a three-hour waiting, Titash died on the ferry, the family members claimed.
