BNP to bring out mass procession from Nayapaltan on Friday

 

Live Correspondent: BNP will bring out its pre-announced mass procession from Nayapaltan at 2:00 pm on Friday, said BNP vice chairman Professor Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain at a press briefing on Thursday (December 29, 2022).

"Our party leaders and activists will gather in front of the Nayapaltan office and bring out the procession at 2:00 pm," he said at the press briefing at the party's central office. "Our mass procession will be held peacefully."

The procession will also end at Nayapaltan after covering different roads through Bijoynagar, Kakrail, Shantinagar, Malibagh, and Maghbazar intersections.

As per the schedule, Ganatantra Mancha from the front of Jatiya Press Club, 12-Party Alliance from Fakirarpool Water Tank premises, Jatiyatabadi Samamona Jote from Purana Paltan Crossing, LDP from FDC Crossing, and Jamaat Islami from Baitul Mukarram Mosque's North Gate will join the mass procession.

Calling upon the Dhaka city dwellers to make Friday's mass procession a success, Professor Zahid Hossain said, "It's our constitutional right to bring out mass processions. In doing so, we went to the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) commissioner's office to seek cooperation. The DMP commissioner assured us of extending all-out cooperation."

The press conference was also attended by BNP organizing secretary Syed Emran Saleh Prince, Swecchasebak Dal's secretary Mir Sarafat Ali Shape, executive committee member Nazim Uddin Alam, Dhaka District BNP general secretary Nipun Roy Chowdhury, Iqbal Hossain Shyamol, and Dhaka City North BNP member secretary Aminul Huq, among others.
