Live Correspondent: Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested Erfan Selim, son of lawmaker Haji Selim and councilor of ward 30 of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) in a case filed over an attack on a navy officer and a death threat.
The elite force conducted a raid at Madina tower, the residence of his father, and arrested him from there on Monday.
According to witnesses, the car first hit the motorcycle of Navy officer lieutenant Wasif Ahmed Khan near Kalabagan crossing in Dhanmondi area.
He was returning home with his wife after purchasing books. At that time, some men got down from the car, attacked on him.
Later, they escaped the scene leaving the car behind as people started to gather around.
