Live Correspondent: Swechchhasebak League President Advocate Molla Mohammad Abu Kausar has been relieved of his post as per the order of Awami League President Sheikh Hasina. AL General Secretary Obaidul Quader made the announcement while attending the extended meeting of Dhaka Metropolitan North AL held at White Hall Convention Centre in Dhanmondi 27 on Wednesday.
According to the source, different media recently published reports that he runs an illegal casino at the Dhaka Wanderers Club.
National Board of Revenue on Monday asked all banks to freeze all accounts of Kausar, his wife Parveen Luna and his daughter Nujhat Nadia Neela and their organization Fine Power Solution.
To be noted, the law enforcers have been conducting drives against illegal casinos, bars, and spa and have arrested some top leaders of the ruling AL’s youth front Jubo League and other associate bodies since September 18.
