APUB demands exemplary punishment for vandalising of Bangabandhu's sculpture

Live Correspondent: The Association of Private Universities of Bangladesh (APUB) expressed deep concern and strongly condemned the vandalising of the sculpture of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in its meeting held on Sunday.
The organization also demanded exemplary punishment for the perpetrators and their accomplices by bringing them under law immediately.
APUB’s Chairman Sheikh Kabir Hossain said, “Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the great architect of independent Bangladesh, the great hero of the liberation war of oppressed Bengalis, symbolizes our independence and sovereignty.”
“The distorting of the sculpture of the Father of the Nation in Kushtia by the reactionary, anti-independence clique in this month of victory is a clear threat to the liberation war, independence and sovereignty.
Their misdeeds are against the non-communal conscience of Bangladesh,” he said
In a media statement, the APUB strongly condemned the vandalisation of Bangabandhu's sculpture and demanded exemplary punishment for the perpetrators and their accomplices by bringing them under the law immediately.
