IUB ranked first among all the private universities in BD

 

IUB Live: Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) has been ranked first among all the private universities in Bangladesh by SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) 2021. IUB was also ranked tenth among all the universities, public and private, in the country. 

SIR is a global ranking of scientific institutions published by SCImago Laboratories in partnership with Scopus which is an abstracting and citation database owned by Elsevier. 

Institutions are ranked by a composite indicator that combines three different sets of indicators based on research performance, innovation outputs and societal impact measured by their web visibility. 

SIR has been publishing its international ranking of research institutions globally, the SIR World Report, since 2009.

This is a remarkable event in IUB history and serves as a moral boost to the IUB community. IUB remains committed as an independent, secular, non-profit and student-focused institution.
