IUB Live: The Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) observed its 21st and 22nd convocations with most of the students joining virtually due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Many faculty members attended the event in-person held at its auditorium in the capital. Speakers at the program urged the fresh graduates to use their creativity to serve the country.

They also emphasized on becoming an entrepreneur and creating job opportunities for others, rather than serving as a job holder.

A total of 2,143 students were announced graduate officially by the university authorities -- 1,279 students under the 21st and 864 under the 22nd convocation.

Addressing the new graduates, IUB Vice Chancellor Prof Tanweer Hasan said: “You should try to find out the path which will be a part of sustainable development. Let’s be active to contribute to nation-building.”
