Seminar on cervical cancer held at North South University

NSU Live: A seminar on “Awareness of Cervical Cancer” was held at North South University on Sunday. The seminar was organized by NSU Model Pharmacy and Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, NSU; and assisted by Incepta Pharmaceuticals Ltd and Incepta Vaccine Ltd.
Prof. Dr. G M Sayedur Rahman gave the welcome speech at the event while Dr. Nafisa Amin Khan gave the keynote speech.
Dr. Nafisa elaborated on cervical cancer overview and its risk factors, causative agents, early signs, and symptoms.
The keynote speaker also talked about the early diagnosis and stages of the treatment options. She focused on the prevention of cervical cancer by vaccination and taking preventive measures related to the reproductive health of females.
Vice-Chancellor of North South University Professor Atiqul Islam was present as the chief guest.
The whole seminar came to a conclusion after the concluding remarks given by the session chair Professor Dr. Hasan Mahmud Reza.
