BRUR teacher held for 'derogatory' comments on Nasim

BRU Live: Police arrested a teacher of Begum Rokeya University, Rangpur on charges of making a derogatory post about late veteran Awami League leader and former Health Minister Mohammed Nasim on the social networking site Facebook.
Sirajum Monira, a lecturer of Bangla Department of the university, was arrested on Saturday midnight.
Confirming the matter to media, the University Police Outpost in-charge Muhibbul Islam said: “A post containing a derogatory text about the minister Nasim was shared using Sirajum Monira’s Facebook account.
Monira was arrested after the University BCL president Tushar Kibria filed a case under the ICT act against her, he said.
