Ramna DC’s son commits suicide by shooting self

Live Correspondent: A youth committed suicide using a pistol of his police officer father in Dhaka on Monday morning. 

The incident took place at the 67 No. house of Azimpur government quarter. 

The deceased was identified as Sadik, second year student of Dhaka City College, son of Sazzadur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Ramna division).    

According to the source, Sadik committed suicide by shooting himself while the other members of the family were sleeping. The room was locked from inside during the incident.

Two top officials of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Jago News. 

In this connection, Aslamuddin, Lalbagh zone Inspector (operation), said Sadik committed suicide using a licensed pistol.

To be noted, DMP appointed Sazzadur Rahman as Deputy Commissioner (DC) for its Ramna Division on September 8.
