Live Correspondent: The by-election to Faridpur-2 constituency that fell vacant following the death of deputy leader of the parliament Syeda Sajeda Chowdhury will be held on November 5.
The Election Commission on Monday announced the schedule for the parliamentary by-election after a meeting held at the EC headquarters in the capital’s Agargaon.
As per the schedule, the deadline for submission of nomination papers is October 10.
The Faridpur-2 constituency fell vacant on September 11 and the Election Commission has a constitutional obligation to arrange the by-elections within 90 days.
